About the project
SWA were appointed by Fife Council to undertake a feasibility study to investigate the potential for new water sports facilities in Levenmouth.
The accommodation was to include for visitor arrivals, changing, teaching and learning spaces along with suitable storage for associated equipment.
Given the exposed nature of the site on the side of Methil Dock, the design approach was for a series of small buildings arranged around a central meeting space that would provide a degree of shelter from the elements.
Feasibility study proposals and costings were undertaken in early 2024.
